“On 1st August 1880, a short time after Bessarabia was ceded to Russia [1], SEZON VASILENCO moved from the Şagani village [2], crossing the Danube, to Tulcea, probably in order to escape the religious persecution from Russia (he was an evangelical believer, he read the Bible daily and was baptised in 1877 by Dmitri Petrovici in Nicolaevca).
The name SEZON TROFIMOVICI VASILENCO means that our grandfather was the son of Trofim, and that Trofim was the son of Vasile, but after settling in Tulcea (1880), the neighbors, mostly speaking Russian, started naming his children “Sezonov”, which means “the sons of Sezon”.
Sezon had two brothers, Lavro și Sava, and, with his wife, Elena [3], had 10 childrens from which I can enumerate: SAMUEL, ALEXEI, PETRO, LUCA, AVRAM, IACOB, ANDREI, ADAM. In a photography from 1920, only 7 brothers were still living.
In 1895, Sezon left this world at 55 years, leaving behind him his wife, Elena, GRANDMA ELENA (BABUSHKA SEZONIKA), which ascended to God in April 1918.
So, the beginnings of the Sezonov family gain historical profile.”

You mention a picture of Sezon and some of his children. Where can we see this picture? I am interested in Samuel as he is my husbands Great, great grandfather.
